Ethical Issues in Scientific Publishing

He worked for a year as a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Pharmacy at the Universiteit Antwerpen (Antwerp, Belgium) developing mass spectrometric techniques for analyzing trace organic contaminants in the atmosphere. He joined Wiley-VCH (Weinheim, Germany) in January 2001 and served as Senior Associate Editor of Angewandte Chemie. He helped launch Chemistry An Asian Journal, for which he served as Deputy Editor. In 2008 he assumed his current role as Editor-in-Chief of the nano- and microtechnology journal Small. He is currently also a section editor of the newly launched Advanced Healthcare Materials. Dr. Duoduo Liang completed his Bachelor of Engineering degree at the University of Science and Technology in Beijing, China. After completing a Masters degree at the same University, he moved to Belgium where he obtained his PhD in the Physics Department of the Universiteit Antwerpen (Antwerp, Belgium) in the group of Professor Gustaaf van Tendeloo. He then carried out postdoctoral studies at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. He joined the editorial staff of Wiley in 2010, where he works primarily on Advanced Materials.
